Network Load Calculation Tool

To supplement the PROFINET Design Installation Guide, PI offers a Network Load Calculation Tool.
 

The purpose of the Network Load Calculation Tool is to simplify the calculation of network load for the user. Network load depends on several factors. The Network Load Calculation Tool allows users to assess the impact of these factors. By entering values, users can specify possible device configurations.
 

The result is the total network load of all PROFINET device groups. This calculated network load value can then be used to determine the percentage of network load on a PROFINET network.
 

The use of the tool is explained in the PROFINET Design Guide.
