Applicable Rules and Policies for the PI Membership
The following graphic provides an overview of all the rules and policies that may need to be accepted upon joining the PI Community.
Which rules and policies apply depends on how a member intends to participate and which PI offerings they use. For a PNO membership, all of these documents must be accepted.
All relevant documents can be downloaded from the "General PI Documents" category in our download area.
Participation in working groups: A member company that wishes to participate in a working group must accept the TC/WG guidelines. Additionally, the company must accept the Code of Conduct for Corporate Social Responsibility, the Code of Conduct for Antitrust Laws, and the IPR Policy.
Use and grant of patents: The use and granting of patents are governed by the IPR Policy.
Software, tools, and services: Use of PI software, tools, and services is governed by the Software License Terms and the IO-Link Rules.
Logos and trademarks: Use of PI logos and trademarks is governed by the Association Mark Articles and Trademark Rules. In addition, the IO-Link Rules and the IO-Link Product Quality Policy apply to IO-Link.
Specifications and guidelines: Specifications and guidelines are provided under license agreements for the download area and documents.
PTA: The PTA contract, terms & conditions, and EULA must be accepted for the PTA.
