The M12x1 connector series can be used to realise applications such as security and video surveillance (CCTV), passenger information systems (PIS), production systems and production monitoring with high-resolution cameras. Users can use the very fast interface with the M12 circular connector, for example, to connect encapsulated and tamper-proof X-ray equipment for checking luggage at airports. But the M12 is also a real benefit card in rail vehicles: the increasing amount of data can be reliably distributed and transmitted to all systems and devices connected in the train, such as cameras or switches. As a 4-pin, D-coded compact connector in Cat.5, the M12 from Telegärtner can transmit data rates of up to 100 Mbit/s in the PROFINET environment.
