The PROFIBUS Nutzerorganisation (PNO) invites all developers of device, controller and tool manufacturing companies to a special PROFINET High Availability Plugfest on Feb 21/22 in Amberg. This plugfest is kindly hosted by OTH (Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden).

The aim is to test the current status of the different controller and device implementations supporting the Application Class “High Availability” with the focus on System Redundancy and Dynamic Reconfiguration. Tests with according PLCs and the pilot implementation of certification tests will be offered.

This plugfest offers a unique opportunity to all participating companies to easily test their device interoperability in a multi-vendor surrounding and for practical exchange of experience. Because of the parallel PN-IO Working Group meeting upcoming questions regarding the standard can be clarified directly, also the certification experts are open for any discussion.

Note: A general PROFINET Plugfest with other topics like PROFIdrive or PROFIsafe as performed in the last years will be offered also in mid of 2018. An invitation will follow.

Please note that the maximum number of participants is limited to 20 persons and therefore no more than 2-3 persons per tested device can be admitted.

Only PNO/PI members are allowed to register for the plugfest.
