This presentation demonstrates how easy it is to swap out a device during operation using the clever mechanisms of IO-Link. In a live demonstration, an IO-Link device swap will be performed between two types of controllers. Among other things, the presentation will explain how the data storage mechanism can be used to transfer existing device parameters to a new replacement device without the need for an engineering tool.
