Profile

The Inatel (Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações) is an advanced research institute in telecommunications systems and communication protocols. It was founded in 1960, being the first telecommunication engineering course in Latin America.

Currently, the institute has about 2.200 undergraduate and post graduate students, 500 employees and 100 professors.

In addition, it has a sector dedicated to providing services and solutions to the market, called ICC (Inatel Competence Center).This sector relates to companies, institutes, universities and other partners, aimed at developing solutions, hardware, software, training development, certifications, product testing (EMC / EMI / calibration) and other services. It has about 250 employees dedicated to the performance of these services.

There are several existing partnerships with companies such as: CISCO (Inatel offers all CISCO certification modules: CCNA, CCNP, CCDP and CCDA), Huawey (Inatel offers all Huawey certification modules: LTE and HCNA), Ericsson (Inatel develops products and solutions for Ericsson), Oracle (Inatel offers all Oracle certification modules), Microsoft (Inatel offers all Microsoft certification modules), among others.

The classrooms and laboratories are suitable for training, since there are already several other associations / companies that perform it in the institute.

Professor PhD. Alexandre Baratella Lugli, the coordinator of the PICC, has experience and competence in the automation area, having taught several training. He has technical course in electronics for the Electronics Technical School "Francisco Moreira da Costa" (1999), degree in Electrical Engineering from the Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações (2004), master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Itajubá (2007) and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Itajubá (2013). It is currently coordinator of higher education in control and automation (Engineering and Technology) of the Instituto Nacional de Telecomunicações (INATEL) and college professor of the National Institute of Telecommunications (INATEL).
