PROFINET Seminar - Dubai

PI Middle East would like to thank the presenters, attendees and sponsors for the successful PROFINET Technology' seminar held on February 13th at Al Murooj Rotana, Dubai.

ABB, Pepperl + Fuchs, Phoenix Contact and Siemens jointly sponsored the event which focused on the PROFINET Technology and its applications.

PROFINET is the leading Open Industrial Ethernet standard maintained by PROFIBUS/PROFINET International and is gaining prominence both globally and in the region.

The event was attended by over 120 end-users, system integrators, consultants and PROFIBUS/PROFINET enthusiasts.

PI Middle East vendor members, Mr. Ala' Majaj and Dr. Paula Doyle gave presentations on PI Middle East organisation, PROFIBUS technology, and benefits of using PROFIBUS.  

PI Middle East members, Mr. Ala' Majaj, Mr. Tomasz Sinczak and Dr. Paula Doyle presented the PI Middle East Organisation, PROFINET Technoogy and Benefits of using PROFINET.

Mr. Jad Wehbe, from PICC Lebanon, presented his experience of using PROFINET in projects as varied as water treatment to ski-resort monitoring.

Mr. Ammar Atta, from PICC/PITC Saudi Arabia, shared his knowledge on how to build, maintain and diagnose PROFINET networks - including free tools for easy diagnosis.

This seminar represents our first PROFINET technical seminar in the region and we look forward to hosting many more.
