Accurate Weighing Made Fast
The METTLER TOLEDO ACT350 is specifically designed for EPCs, machine builders and control system integrators to provide fast, accurate weight measurements when connected to strain gauge load cells, weigh modules and floor scales up to 980t. The ACT350 family supports cyclical communication including floating-point weight, status, error conditions, synchronization, data okay, RedAlert™ alarm and a heartbeat function to ensure the security of the system. Electronically filtered weight data is transmitted into your control system @ 800Hz; 8x faster than other weight transmitters. Acyclic commands allow users to trigger one-time events such as zero, tare and clear.
The whole ACT350 family connects POWERCELL, Strain Gauge, Automated Precision Weighing devices, industrial scales and selected laboratory balances to your PROFINET system. This version of the ACT350 as well as the ACT350 POWERCELL provides Profibus DP using the exact same weight protocol.
Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Logging
The ACT350 includes condition monitoring that instantly detects critical weighing errors.
CalFree™
CalFree allows you to adjust your scale based on known load cell values. Adjustments can also be made remotely via your Step 7 PLC. ACT350 meets weights and measures approvals worldwide.
Hazardous Areas
The “xx” version ACT350 facilitates scales residing in Zones 2/22, Division 2 environments. Scales can also be connected in Zones 1/21 and Division 1 with the use of an accurate METTLER TOLEDO Intrinsic Safe Barrier. Naturally, the ACT350 must remain in a safe area or enclosure with increased protection.
Fast PLC Integration with dual port PROFINET connection
Dual Ethernet ports support both daisy-chain, ring topologies with Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP). GSD and GSDML files are available with sample programming code and engineering notes. A single port version of the ACT350 is available for star networks.
Integrated Web Server
Permits local and remote setup, adjustment and monitoring.
Onboard Display and Keypad
Instantly see the status of your system through an interactive display and system network status LEDs
Local I/O
Physical inputs are available for selection of tare, clear tare, zero, etc. Physical outputs are available for non-latched setpoints, status and faults.
