Profile
The PI Competence Centre has extensive working DP and PA demonstration systems including:
- Various automation rigs (including the conveyor systems, pneumatic cylinder systems, and pick & place robot systems with sensors, actuators, WAGO controllers, drives and AS-i safety protection.
- PROFIBUS DP, PA and PROFINET networks and devices linked with Siemens and Phoenix Contact controllers, engineering software systems, ProfiTrace andFDT/DTM tools. Remote heating rigs comprising a boiler, electric heaters and fans using Siemens PROFINET controllers, implementing PID loops and fuzzy logics, controlled via the Internet.
- Training equipment for Certified PROFIBUS and PROFINET Installer and Engineer Courses.
Further experience of the PICC:
Extensive experience with on-site consultancy, fault finding and health checking of DP and PA installations. Accredited for AS-i and Open PLC training: IEC61131-3.
Demo Systems:
Extensive range of PROFIBUS DP and PA demonstration and training equipment including various automation rigs with PROFIBUS and AS-i technology.;
Extensive range of PROFINET demonstration and training equipment including remote controlled heating systems.
