1. Promote PROFIBUS/PROFINET technologies and their applications;
2. Support members of CPO for their market development and support end users for their application;
3. Support members of CPO and relevant companies to develop PROFIBUS/PROFINET products;
4. Market research for fieldbus system in China;
5. Participate in the standardization work on relative fieldbus;
6. Distribute relevant technical information and materials about PROFIBUS/PROFINET and provide other services to members of CPO in time;
7. Guide and administrate Chinese PROFIBUS Competence Center (CPCC) and Chinese PROFIBUS Product Testing Lab (CPPTL);
8. Cooperating closely with PROFIBUS International Technical Support Center and follow up the international development of the PROFIBUS/PROFINET technologies.

1. Standard and Publications:
● Since April 1999, organized experts to translate and draft 8 PROFIBUS/PROFINET Chinese Standards;
● Translated and published various literatures on PROFIBUS/PROFINET.
2. Marketing Work:
● Held “Roadshow of PROFIBUS & PROFINET technology, products and application” including almost 30 seminars in major cities in China during year 1999~2006 (over 30 cities, the number of audience was 150~200 persons each city)
● Held several terms of “PROFIBUS & PROFINET Press Conference” in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, etc.;
● Delivered a large number of PROFIBUS/PROFINET lectures and conducted technical trainings for users in large-scale enterprises;
● Delivered lecture and held seminars on developing PROFIBUS-DP products;
● Delivered lots of PROFIBUS/PROFINET technical lectures on relevant international fairs.
3. Technical Support;
● Set up Chinese PROFIBUS Product Demo Lab in October, 1998 and became Chinese PROFIBUS Competence Center (DP/PA) in 1999;
● Since setting up Chinese PROFIBUS-DP Product Testing Lab (CPPTL) in 2001, 18 PROFIBUS products have been approved the test;
● Provide consulting and services about development of PROFIBUS-DP products to over 160 companies (distributed in 23 provinces);
● Set up Chinese PROFIBUS-PA Product Testing Lab in 2006.
1996年12月在北京与西门子（中国）公司联合举办现场总线（PROFIBUS）技术介绍会，这是首次将PROFIBUS技术和产品向中国工业界介绍。
1． 资料出版：
● 自1999年4月，组织人员开展PROFIBUS/PROFINET中国标准的制订工作，完成8部国家标准的制订；
● 翻译并出版若干文献。
2． 市场工作：
● 1999年-2000年，先后在北京、上海、广州等20多个城市，举办过近30场次有关PROFIBUS、PROFIsafe和PROFINET的技术研讨会及讲座，每地到会者150-200人左右；
● 在北京、上海、广州等组织了多次“PROFIBUS & PROFINET新闻发布会”；
● 多次为大型企业技术人员组织有关PROFIBUS & PROFINET技术专题培训；
● 多次举办PROFIBUS产品开发技术培训；
● 多次在相关国际展览会上作PROFIBUS & PROFINET技术讲座。
3． 技术支持：
● 1998年10月，建立现场总线（PROFIBUS）产品演示实验室，1999年成为CPCC（DP/PA）；
● 自2001年建成PROFIBUS DP产品测试实验室（CPPTL）以来，累计测试产品18个；
● 向160多家（分布在23个省市）企业提供技术咨询、技术服务；
● 2006年，建立PROFIBUS PA产品测试实验室。
