PI Test Laboratories (PITL)
The most important goals of PI are advancement of the PROFIBUS and PROFINET technology, know-how transfer and protection of investment. Certification plays a major role, as certified products ensure interoperability and conformance with the standard. Many end-users are aware of this and only buy products when they are certified.
Certification Tests in accordance with the related Test Specifications are executed in authorized PITLs, of which meanwhile 10 are authorized world-wide to test in the defined focus. PITL stands for PI Test Laboratory, that is a test center authorized by PI to execute certification tests for PROFIBUS and/or PROFINET devices. For details about a certification test for your device, you may contact one of the Test Laboratories listed below.
