Profile
The PROFIBUS Competence Centre runs a PROFIBUS demonstrator and offers seminars and workshops as well as technical PROFIBUS support.
The PCC is operating an education system for industrial automation with more than 20 different field devices from 10 different vendors. The education system includes PROFIBUS DP / DPV1 and PROFIBUS PA devices. In addition, AS-Interface and Industrial Ethernet segments are included and linked to the PROFIBUS segments. The education system simulates a chemical plant and includes 2 tanks with level regulation which are controlled by a PC-based control system via PROFIBUS.
Regular training, both for vendors and users is held in the PCC's education center in Karlsruhe. The training includes theoretical and practical lessons and guides the participants step by step through the PROFIBUS technology. Currently, 3 different courses are offered:
1. PROFIBUS Installation and Maintenance
2. PROFIBUS Expert Training
3. New PROFIBUS Technologies
A discount is granted to PI Members on the services and training of the PCC.
