PROFIBUS DP/ PA Integration and Asset Management Functions

Asset Management Software?s are opening the door to plant optimisation: today, a typical plant has hundreds of devices from many different suppliers. To manage the asset you need to have the relevant data on the asset? And for the average user, they have no time to find and load this data into their asset management system. We know that the latest instruments that have HART, PROFIBUS or even Foundation Fieldbus can readily exchange the information with an asset management system. But what about the existing installed base? What about the discreet devices? The low cost instruments are important in the process but to time consuming to find the data?
To ensure maximum performance, each device must be configured, adjusted, monitored, maintained and calibrated.
This presentation discusses the requirement of asset management based on the intranet-/internet technology, interlinking all tools, products and services from Endress+Hauser based on the intelligent device software FieldCare.
