In this section you'll find several sets of downloadable files, ranging from simple forms to join PI to executables to help you engineer and commission PROFIBUS and PROFINET devices. Much of it is free, although to get some files you'll need to join PI to gain access. The 'key' icon tells you which file needs a password.
Back to download listThe tool was developed to demonstrate content and use of the Identification and Maintenance Functions defined for PROFIBUS and PROFINET devices. Besides a simulation of access to I&M data, the tool supports language-depending presentation of I&M data, and allows access to further information by using the infrastructure provided by PI. In addition, the tool allows invoking manufacturer-provided service functions.
The tool should be treated as a first introduction to Identification and Maintenance Functions. It is just a demonstration tool, not a supported product. The correctness of information is not guaranteed.
