In this section you'll find several sets of downloadable files, ranging from simple forms to join PI to executables to help you engineer and commission PROFIBUS and PROFINET devices. Much of it is free, although to get some files you'll need to join PI to gain access. The 'key' icon tells you which file needs a password.
Back to download listWith the "SEMI-Conductor Devices" specification, the PROFIBUS Nutzerorganisation e.V. created a profile for the application of PROFIBUS in 2003.
Empirical experience with implementations and in applications were the motivating factor that led the PNO's advisory board to update the profile. On the one hand, it should be expanded to include different device types; on the other hand, errors in the existing version should be eliminated. In order to complete the portfolio of profiles for PROFINET, the profile previously oriented only towards PROFIBUS should be expanded in a subsequent step to include the mapping to PROFINET IO.
