However, with direct communication, attacks on the corporate network will also influence individual automation components – with possible consequences for production. In light of this, the topic of security is gaining in importance.
The Advisory Board of the PNO has decided to reactivate the "PROFINET Security" Working Group to reevaluate the security of automation networks.
