In this section you'll find several sets of downloadable files, ranging from simple forms to join PI to executables to help you engineer and commission PROFIBUS and PROFINET devices. Much of it is free, although to get some files you'll need to join PI to gain access. The 'key' icon tells you which file needs a password.

The FDT Group, Fieldbus Foundation, HART Communication Foundation, OPC Foundation and PROFIBUS Nutzerorganisation e.V., (collectively the EDDL Cooperation Team (ECT)) approved a Field Device Integration (FDI) Project in March 2007 to develop a common solution for field device integration in host systems.
FDI Project Validation Team
The draft FDI specifications will soon ready for validation through prototyping by a separate validation team. The FDI Project Validation Team shall be set up to develop and execute a validation plan.
The team will be headed by Jörg Jeske, ABB Automation GmbH, Minden, Germany.
The project is expected to run from February to August 2010. Each participant is responsible for her/his own time and travel expenses. Further contributions by providing e.g. Hardware (Devices, PCs,) are appreciated. A detailed schedule will be worked out in the kick-off meeting. The kick-off meeting will take place in February 2010 at ABB Automation in Minden, Germany.
