The UK's PROFIBUS Group is pleased to announce that it has become a supporting partner of the Institution of Engineering and Technology's seminar on Smart Instrumentation to be held in Birmingham on 27 April 2010. The IET will in turn be supporting the PROFIBUS Conference at the end of June.
 
The Smart Instrumentation seminar will provide a forum for safety critical industries to discuss how to overcome technical and security hurdles associated employing smart instrumentation in equipment. Key topics for debate include wireless devices and interoperability, implementing and sharing reliability testing tools, monitoring asset performance with smart instruments, SIL levels using smart instruments and how to use smart instruments in your system.
