ZERTIFIZIERUNG
Um die Einhaltung gewisser Normen sicherzustellen, sind die PI Testlabore für die Zertifizierung von Produkten mit PROFIBUS- bzw. PROFINET-Schnittstellen zuständig. Auf diese Weise kann die Normkonformität und Interoperabilität mit anderen Produkten verschieder Hersteller gewährleistet werden. Ein gemeinsamer Einsatz in einer Anlage ist somit ohne Probleme möglich.
Für PROFINET-Produkte ist die Zertifizierung obligatorisch.
Die Dienstleistungsqualität der Testlabore wird regelmäßig in einem strengen Akkreditierungs-prozess überprüft. In Deutschland sind derzeit vier Testlabore akkreditiert.
